What to see in Egypt
Cairo - one of the most truly incredible cities in the world. It’s congested, crazy, alive and full of history. This has to be the first stop on any tour. The Pyramids, The Sphinx, King Tuts Mask and that is only the beginning.
Luxor - arguably one of the most beautiful places on the planet and so much here to see. The Valley of the Kings, The Valley of the Queens, Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, Hatchetsup Temple and of course the Nile.
If you are planning Nile Travel, then a Nile Cruise is the perfect way to do it. There are bi weekly cruises from Luxor to Aswan, Aswan to Luxor and weekly trips from Luxor to Aswan and back again.
Aswan - a great little city on the banks of the Nile. The gateway to Lake Nasser with both ancient and modern sites including the High Dam at Aswan and Philae Temple. And don’t forget just a couple hours up the road there is the amazing Abu Simbel Temple - a must for anyone who is travelling to Egypt. Although do be prepared for an early start as trips up to Abu Simbel are run overseen by the tourist police and therefore are run as a convoy - at around 5 am.
Nile Travel
Certainly one of the best ways to see lower Egypt. A typical and perfect cruise will take you 4 days and 3 nights. This would include tours of Aswan, sailing up to Edfu, Esna and Kom Ombo.
Finishing up in Luxor where you can take in all the sites this amazing city has to offer.
Sound and Light Shows - available at The Pyramids in Cairo, Karnak Temple in Luxor, Philae Temple in Aswan and at Abu Simbel temple - all are quite different and offer very different experiences. But if you have the chance, all are definitely worth the visit and the ticket price.
